This project is about enabling young people from around the world to use the latest technology in order to have a dialogue about issues such as democracy, law, citizenship, equality, human rights, the right to education to name a few.
Youth Action has a partner organisation in Pakistan, with whom we have a regular Video Conference call, and over 20 young people on either side of the world have two-hour long debates on a range of issues that young people themselves set.
It is envisaged that apart from the Video Conference calls we will host a delegation of our partner organisation from Pakistan in the UK for two weeks, where they can see what work we do and learn from our best practise. In return a delegation from Youth Action will visit Pakistan in 2008 to learn from their best practise and bring it back to Youth Action.
This is a major project support by the British Council and we are very excited to be a part of it. Watch this space for more details! |
